The Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion plot continues to thicken and bring even more questions to light, as the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office is pushing to escalate the controversial shooting incident to felony assault.
While there were past rumors of deportation for Tory Lanez, and the Canadian’s last known appearance was out in Florida where he was confirmed to be under quarantine with his family, not much more new information has been released on Lanez’ behalf. Meg, on the other hand, has addressed the situation several times across her social media accounts, and she even uploaded photos of her foot injury she endured from the shooting while denouncing false narratives that the internet had come to make up. And now with even more insight into the situation, a new report from TMZ shows that the L.A. D.A.’s office is reviewing a possible felony assault with a firearm charge against Lanez.
Although Tory, born Daystar Peterson, was originally not considered a suspect for the alleged shooting, as the singer was initially charged with carrying a concealed weapon, Megan’s statement a week after the incident where she confirmed suffering gunshot wounds, Hollywood detectives launched an assault with deadly weapon investigation. While many have concluded that Tory shot Megan, pointing to the coincidence that Kehalni took the singer off of her song, and many believing that Meg was initially covering up for Tory’s sake, a spokesperson for the police department stated that the suspect’s information will only be reeled once an arrest is made.
Still no official statement has been released from Tory about this matter, so we are still wishing for the best for both Megan and Lanez and all parties involved in the situation.
