Ye says from now on he’s performing with his MAGA hat on *cringe*, but it looks like Coachella won’t be one of the places he’ll be wearing it. At least on stage that is.

The official Coachella 2019 lineup hasn’t been released yet, but Kanye West was on the list of the rumored headliners, along side Justin Timberlake and Childish Gambino. Well now it seems that he may be dropping his spot after negotiations regarding his stage design didn’t go his way.

Kanye is particularly known for his stage design, like the Saint Pablo tour’s floating stage, and his glass box that he allegedly stole from Lorde. There are no yet details about what kind of design Ye was hoping to pull off at the popular festival, but Coachella reportedly won’t budge on stage alterations. TMZ, first reported that there were in deed conversations between him and Goldenvoice had about what the the “I Love It” rapper had in mind. They were apparently unwilling to make any special exception for him ans said he could either performing on the traditional sized stage or not at all, yikes! Well it’s clear what decision he made.

The Coachella line-up is typically announced late January so only time will tell who will take his spot…
