Kemba On His Collab With Smino, Getting Signed To Republic Records And His Upcoming Album

Kemba spoke with Justin Credible of the L.A. leakers right after he stepped off the stage. He recalled his performance, “It feels great. Just the amount of energy from the crowd, and just the amount of people that were there.” On the song that he felt like people were feeling the with most; “Molotovs At Poseidon”.

He revealed that his song “Exhale” with Smino was actually a long time coming. Kemba says he met his manager when they were both 13. “He was from Chicago, or he lived in Chicago and his manager brought him to my neighborhood in the Bronx.” They dropped the track as a sort of celebration after they signed to Republic Records. When asked how he felt about inking his new deal he says with a smile, “Everything new man, everything feels new again bro, it’s crazy.” A big congrats to him!

As for his 2019 lineup, he’s about to go on tour with Brass Tracks, the production group who did “No Problems for Chance The Rapper.He also says just more music in general, he tells fans they can expect an album with some cool guests. Hallelujah because we know we aren’t the only ones who can’t wait to hear more from him. On the upcoming project he says “Im’ really about to make a run man.”
