Tupac Amaru Shakur passed away on September 13th, 1996 and this year marks the 20th anniversary of his passing. In honor of the California rapper’s legacy a company is planning to open up a pop-up restaurant for him. Take 3 Burgers in Fresno is teaming up with Sam Hansen to create the restaurant that 2 Pac himself had planned to open before he passed.
The one day restaurant will be named Powamekka Cafe which is the name that Tupac had wanted for his restaurant years ago. That restaurant title, the menu, logo, and more are all being directly taken from sketches that Tupac created for the restaurant himself. The menu features Tupac themed items such as the California Love Chicken Sandwich, Hennessy Apple Butter Chicken Wings, Thug Passion cake pops, and various others.
The restaurant will open for this dope memorial on September 13th and will feature various musicians performing covers of all of 2 Pac’s legendary tracks. If you’re in the Fresno area make sure to visit!
