Houston, Texas pulled up on us for the latest installment of Rolling Loud’s Saturday Night Loud as singer and songwriter Inayah discussed her new album ‘Insecure.’

Speaking with DJ Carisma, the new mom and social media personality shared that her new project is a reflection of her journey with postpartum and navigating motherhood with her career and mental health. As she’s already worked with hip-hop legend Scarface, Inayah admits that new generation artists are not putting enough substance into their music and not exploring storytelling with lyrics. Inayah tells Carisma that she’s someone in R&B who is saying the art of storytelling and artistry.

The “Best Thing” songstress found huge success on social media after her cover of Ella Mai’s 2018 hit “Boo’d Up,” which led her to her partnership with Empire, which gives her the freedom and ownership over her music.

Inayah goes on to name Beyonce, Frank Ocean on her list of dream collabs, talks recording process, and much more.
