Shady Blu stops in the studio with our girl Carisma to discuss her new project “Topic Of Discussion.” Shady Blu is an up-and-coming rapper with a whole lot of love for music.

She says music is within her and has been writing since the 4th grade, “Storytelling has never been hard,” Shady Blu tells Carisma. It wasn’t until her friends told her to take it serious that she did, “within the next two years I was working on my craft. Working on music in general.” In 2020 Shady Blu got the ball rolling and has been “locked in ever since.” 

In the interview, Carisma confesses she has been looking for her LA female rapper and says to Shady Blu, “I’ve actually been looking for you!” Women are strong in the hip-hop game right now and having Shady Blu represent LA is what was needed. This is a perfect time for women and Shady Blu says everyone is in their own lane doing what they do best. 

It hasn’t been easy for this rising star as “Topic Of Discussion” has taken two years to make. One of her hardest songs to finish was “wish” to find out why by watching the interview.
