Kenyon Dixon has been on a fulfilling journey with his rise in the R&B game. Coming from a sacred background of expression, as Dixon grew up in church, the “Love On Replay” singer has been able to finally navigate his creativity in a space that he traditionally was not always allowed.

Speaking with the midday host Bryhana, Dixon shares that he got his start as a background vocalist and writer for legendary and iconic figures in music, such as Mary J. Blige, Justin Timberlake, Faith Evans, Tyrese, and Nick Jonas, but it wasn’t until a tour gig with Timberlake that pushed him to pursue his solo career and also allowed his family to see his talent outside of the church with his solo work.

While connecting with some of R&B’s greats, Dixon’s experience cultivated his own artistry that helped him get to where he is now. The LA native has also worked with Kanye West during the ‘Life Of Pablo’ era where he has credits on “Ultralight Beam,” which the singer describes the opportunity to work with Ye as well as other major artists featured on the song.

Kenyon Dixon goes on to speak about his ‘Closer’ deluxe album offering, what it’s like being from Los Angeles and working to be successful in the game, his close ties to D Smoke and Sir, and much more.
