Sevyn Streeter has been putting in work! Not only with her pen game as a songwriter and her own musical projects, but she’s also out in major work for her spiritual transformation.
Having experienced the depths of losing her favorite uncle to cancer to re-adjusting her mindset during the pandemic, there is definitely a new energy this era with her newly released ‘Drunken Wordz Sober Thoughtz’ album. As Sevyn details her latest project, the singer-songwriter speaks with Power 106 Midday host Bryhana about the journey she’s had in the past couple of years and how she’s stepped into a new direction in life and music. Streeter’s ‘Drunken Wordz Sober Thoughtz’ album has features with artists like Bia, Jeremih, Lucky Daye, and more, the celebrated songstress still has plans of always creating something different.
As she has an impressive resume already, Sevyn says she still has her bucket list of artists she’d like to work with, which includes Miguel, Silk Sonic, and Drake. Sevyn also reflects back on past experiences working with some of her childhood inspirations which she expressed complete gratitude for collabing with R&B legend Brandy and the iconic Alicia Keys.
Sevyn goes on to share one of the biggest moments in her career was being featured on the ‘Furious 7’ soundtrack, her experience working with Jeremih on the “Wet Dreamz” visual, what fans can expect next with an upcoming docuseries, and much more.
