The incredibly talented Victoria Monet has much to celebrate since becoming a new mom, releasing her new “Coastin'” single, surviving the pandemic, and the one-year anniversary of her impeccable ‘Jaguar’ EP.

With much inspiration pulled from the 70s era, Monet shares with Power 106 Midday host Bryhana that “Coastin'” was escapism for her when she wrote the record, as she notes a moment in time during the winter season where she wished she could be back outside enjoying life, while she was still pregnant. The Stereotypes-produced is expected to appear on Victoria’s forthcoming project which she says she’s still fine-tuning.

As the “Dive” singer shares just how much life has changed since giving birth, Victoria also admits that the coronavirus pandemic allowed her to gather her thoughts and experience therapy for the first time after much apprehension. Monet notes that songwriting has also been a solid form of therapy and while she’s no stranger to a hit, the singer-songwriter shares how her collabs with artists like Ariana Grande, Normani, and Chloe and Halle.

Victoria goes on to share her hopes to work with Beyonce, Sade, and Drake in the future, comments on her viral tweet sent to Dua Lipa, following the DaBaby controversy, and much more.
