Keeping the 2021 list of freestyle firsts for the L.A. Leakers, Long Beach’s own Vince Staples stepped up to the LIFTOFF series to deliver straight bars in the latest freestyle installment with Justin Credible and DJ Sourmilk.

Repping for his Cali upbringing, Staples takes on Dr. Dre’s infectious “Xxplosive” instrumental where he takes his time to unapologetically spit lyrics about coming up in Los Angeles, nods 50 Cent, and even takes a couple of bars to speak on street politics and social justice issues.

Taggin’ 7 Street, they scrubbed it off the wall like every week

Famous city by the sea, the streets was cold, I felt a breeze
