Tinder will soon let you run background checks on potential dates.

The parent company of Tinder, Match Group, who also owns several other popular dating sites like OkCupid and Hinge have to announce that it’s partnering with a nonprofit, female-founded group by the name of Garbo to help make background checks available for users.

Garbo was founded in 2018 by a survivor of gender-based violence by the name of Kathryn Kosmides. The Group collects public records and reports both abuse and violence.
