While nothing has been confirmed yet, there are tons of rumors going around right now that Los Angeles native Kendrick Lamar has left his TDE camp.

Lamar has released a total of four studio albums under his Top Dawg Entertainment label, including this Pulitzer Prize winning DAMN which dropped back in 2017. As many K. Dot fans are eagerly waiting for a follow-up from the Grammy-award winning rapper, it is being suggested that Lamar’s departure from his TDE ties is due to focus on his pgLang imprint with former Top Dawg president Dave Free.

The working duo first announced the the venture back in March which included appearances from Kendrick himself, Baby Keem, and Jorja Smith. With the news of a supposed departure, according to an Antibound live stream, all mentioned artists are linked to be on the pgLang roster.

Current TDE head Punch took to twitter to seemingly respond to the news saying, “Smh can’t even try to be mysterious and vague in my tweets no more…A rumor gets halfway around the world before the truth get it’s shoes on. Lol.”

Kenny was recently spotted filming a music video a few weeks ago and it was also said that TDE artist SZA was having label issues, but that was ironed out with the accompanying “Hit Different” drop.

Hopefully everything gets settled and we can get new Kendrick Lamar music ASAP!
