Now y’all know Kanye West doesn’t do much press, but it seems that tide is changing with his recent announcement that he’s running for President, the new “Wash Us In The Blood” drop, his wifey Kim’s billion dollars moves, and of course the carefully-detailed West family photos that blesses our timelines.

Speaking on a range of topics with Forbes, in a four-hour interview, Yeezy unloads where he stands with Donald Trump, how he’s taking on the Presidency, thoughts on Planned Parenthood, how he had coronavirus, thoughts on vaccines, and how he envisions a White House organized based on the secret country of Wakanda.

Ye announced over the Fourth of July holiday weekend that he would be running for President and while it was being reported he missed his registration window in many states, West tells Forbes that he will be running under the “Birthday Party”. His 2020 campaign takes on Wyoming preacher Michelle Tidal and Ye states, “Because when we win, it’s everybody’s birthday.”

The “Closed On Sunday” rapper clears up his relationship with Trump and states he no longer supports the country’s 45th President but confesses, “ Trump is the closest president we’ve had in years to allowing God to still be part of the conversation.” Kanye also shares that he wore the MAGA hat as a “protest to the segregation of votes int he Black community.”

Kanye’s extensive Forbes interview goes on to reveal that he had COVID-19 back in February.

“Chills, shaking in the bed, taking hot showers, looking at videos telling me what I’m supposed to do to get over it. I remember someone had told me Drake had the coronavirus and my response was Drake can’t be sicker than me!” (laughs)

Although Kanye says he’s not running for the presidency as a publicity stunt in support of his upcoming album, the Chicago native takes his Forbes opportunity to reveal he’s Pro-Life, believes that saying all Black people need to be Democrats is a form of racism and supremacy, the need for racial healing and much more.
