Evelyn Lozada Talks New Book, Being A Mom & Teacher, Losing A Family Member To Covid-19, Civil Unrest & More

Author, model, and reality TV star, Evelyn Lozada, talked with Nick Cannon Mornings about being a mom and teacher during the quarantine, losing her step-dad to Covid-19, her new book, ‘The Wrong Mr. Darcy’, civil unrest, and more.

Evelyn tells Nick about the difficulties of raising a young black boy in America and the effects it has on her and her family. She says, “I’m raising a young black boy who’s going to be a man one day. So just as a mom, it’s hard because I struggle to have these conversations with him.”

When asked how she remains positive as the matriarch of the family by holding it all together, the reality tv star tells Nick, “It is [a lot weight] on my shoulders. My sister and I are both the matriarchs of the family and we have real open and real conversations with our families. I’m pretty calm in my real life, and we just try to remain positive and pray. I’ve been meditating a lot, which helped me so much. We’re trying not to go crazy and remain positive [during all of this].”

Evelyn then talks about her latest book, ‘The Wrong Mr. Darcy’, which is out now in stores. She tells Nick, “So this is my third book, the book before this was ‘The Perfect Date’, and my very first book that came out years ago was called, ‘The Inner Circle’, and one of the things I make sure the readers connected to my real life. There are a lot of stories that I put in the book of things I really did experience. They’re always romantic, beach-reads, I love to be able to write books that you can kind of just get into and just have fun with it. So yea it’s been fun.”
