Hip Hop Legend Kurtis Blow stopped by Nick Cannon Mornings to discuss overcoming health issues, the current state of the country, having new artists pay Hip Hop taxes, creating a Hip Hop union, and more!

The Harlem MC talked about his recent health scare saying, “I am a walking, living, breathing, testimony of the power of God and I just want to take time out to thank everyone for praying for me.” He continues, “Everyone around the country, my family, my wife from 36 years, she’s my warrior. It’s given me the chance to really sit back and enjoy life to the fullest.”

Kurtis also discussed how proud he was of the new generation for the way they are handling the protests and Black Lives Matter movement. The MC said; “It’s amazing to see white people stand up and say, for the first time in my life, I’m hearing… “Black Lives Matter”, that’s so encouraging to me.
