Last night (June 11) Dave Chappelle dropped a surprise comedy special on Netflix called “8:46” — which represents the amount of time fired Minnesota officer Derek Chauvin held his knee on George Floyd’s neck.

The 27-minute special mainly focuses on Floyd’s death and police brutality. During his set, the Washington D.C. comedian took aim at CNN Anchor, Don Lemon, Fox News Host, Laura Ingraham, Candice Ownes, and Azealia Banks.

Chapelle talked about Don Lemon calling out celebrities to use their platforms for bringing awareness to the Floyd case and fight for racial equality. He goes to say;

“Answer me: Do you want to see a celebrity right now?” he said. “Do we give a fuck what Ja Rule thinks? Does it matter about a celebrity? No, this is the streets talking for themselves, they don’t need me right now. I kept my mouth shut. And I’ll still keep my mouth shut. But don’t think my silence is complicit.”

It’s for sure an emotional set and we can’t wait to hear what you guys think about it. Check out the full set below:
