As of now, Kanye West’s forthcoming album Jesus Is King, hasn’t dropped…YET!

A lot of new music was scheduled to drop today, but one of the most anticipated was definitely Kanye West’s gospel album, Jesus Is King. Kim Kardashian was the first to announce the album, later confirmed on Ye’s website; but as the day drew near, fans were worried that history may repeat itself, as it did with his Yandhi album.

Technically the day is not over though, and things may be looking up for Kanye fans! The Fox Theatre in Detroit released an announcement today via the venue’s Twitter account. Kanye is set to hold, “Jesus Is King: A Kanye West Experience” tonight at the theatre. The event is FREE and open to the public.

If you are local to the Detroit area, or just happen to be visiting, you may be in luck! For the rest of us though, don’t get your hopes up to see videos popping up all over the internet like his Sunday Service. According to the Twitter thread, the event will be PHONE-FREE including smart watches! Phones will be taken upon entry, and held in a “YONDR pouch” during the show. AND I OOP—

So, you’re probably wondering…what exactly is HAPPENING at the event? Is the album still dropping? Well, allegedly…it is! Complex music posted a report saying that Kanye’s publicist, Trevian Kutti has confirmed it will be released tonight at 8pm, thought no time zone was specified.

There you have it folks! Now all we can do is wait…
