Rapper, singer, songwriter, producer, and America’s favorite uncle, Snoop Dogg, TOOK OVER Nick Cannon Mornings and blessed us with an amazing conversation covering everything from his newest album, ‘I Wanna Thank Me,’ to even how Black and Brown cultures are embracing each other.

The close conversation begins with Nick talking about Snoop and his inspiring Hollywood star speech, highlighting himself.

“This is my one moment in time that Imma thank me, and Imma really mean it.”

He went on to add, “You gotta love yourself first…If I love me, it’s gon’ be easy for you to love me.”He then went on to talk about his album and when asked what his favorite song was off the album that he was most excited about, he answered, “Let Bygones Be Bygones.”

Presence in black and brown culture was another topic of discussion. While many contemporary artists are now crossing genres, and some even being accused of cultural appropriation, Snoop says he welcomes the diversity. He feels as though black and brown cultures are very mixed and integrated in each other. YG was one of the artists that he mentioned during the topic of discussion in which he mentions that, “YG is more Mexican than black!” He also goes on to tell a memory of the time he tried carne asada for the first time and it was such a savory moment, for it wasn’t like any groundbeef he had ever tried.

When asked about his Top 5, the “D-O-double G” of course, mentions nothing but legends and EVEN includes himself!

“Slick Rick is definitely in there, Ice Cube is in there, Rakim…see that’s going to be a tough one between Big Daddy Kane, KRS One and then Snoop gotta be in there!…Make room for Dogg!”

When mentioning the song that includes Nate Dogg, Snoop even gets emotional while remembering his friend. He even had to have James Fauntleroy from 1500 Or Nothin’ to help him write it.

“That was actually and old record, I could just never write to it because I would always cry to it when I heard his hook.”

The OG really went all out in his newest album, and we can all truly hear it in each and every one of the tracks.
