The rapper says he is “disappointed” with the news.

Earlier today news broke that A$AP Rocky was found guilty in his Sweden assault case. This verdict comes almost a month and a half after his July 3rd arrest. Despite video evidence and claiming he acted in self defense the rapper spent 30 days in a Swedish jail. After he testified on August first the court allowed him to return home until a verdict was reached.

Twelve days later, Rocky has been found guilty BUT won’t have to serve any more jail time because prosecutors feel that the time he served was an adequate punishment for the crime. He will still have to pay a hefty fine and will serve two years of probation.

A$AP took to social media today to express his feelings saying, “I AM OF COURSE DISAPPOINTED BY TODAY’S VERDICT. I WANT TO SAY THANKS AGAIN TO ALL OF MY FANS, FRIENDS, AND EVERYONE WHO SHOWED ME LOVE DURING THIS DIFFICULT TIME. IMMA KEEP MOVING FORWARD. THANK YOU TO MY TEAM, MY MANAGEMENT, ATTORNEYS, LABEL AND EVERYONE WHO ADVOCATED FOR JUSTICE.”

Despite Rocky’s disappointment we know it could be worse, so we’re just glad he doesn’t have to do anymore jail time and that he’s back on U.S. soil!
