Teyana Taylor is bringing all sorts of throwback vibes in her visual for her latest single “HYWI” featuring King Combs. The Hit-Maka produced track samples the classic beat from Mase’s “What You Want” featuring Total.

Carrying on with the theme of nostalgia the video references various scenes from 90’s music videos like LL Cool J’s “Doin’ It,” with the blue background and white couch and rug. Another notable scene is where Teyana and King Combs are in front of a black background with white lights that pays homage to Notorious B.I.G.’s “Mo Money Mo Problems” featuring Puff Daddy and Mase. When sharing the new video on social media, Teyana adds “As a director and artist, I’m so proud of this foreal y’all and could not have made this happen without my amazing team and staff that helped bring this masterpiece to life!”

In addition to the song release, she announced a dance challenge for best choreography and best freestyle videos fans can submit on Instagram using the hashtag #HYWICHALLENGE for a chance at $6,000!
