It’s about that time y’all!

We’re about halfway through the summer and that means, Labor Day is around the corner, then back to school already, but FIRST; one of the major events of the summer, The MTV Video Music Awards.

The VMAs of course spans all more than just hip-hop, but still some of the genres biggest names right now have managed to secure a nomination, or two. Leading this year’s nominees are Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift, the ladies are tied with 10 each.

As far as major categories go, 21 Savage’s “A Lot” and Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” are nominated for video of the year, Cardi B got one for artist of the year, and both Drake’s “In My Feelings” and Lil Nas’s “Old Town Road” are in song of the year category.
