Kid Cudi has just announced an upcoming album, Entergalatic, that will be the featured soundtrack for a new Netflix series.
The story is set to “follow a young man on his journey to discover love”, according to a Netflix press release. Neither the album nor show have a release date yet, but Netflix also announced that Cudi will write, executive produce, and star in the adult animated series.
Kenya Barris, who’s best known for his critically acclaimed TV show “Black-ish” will be an executive producer alongside Ian Edelman, known for HBO’s “How to Make It in America” who will also executive produce as well as write. Cudi’s most recent project Kids See Ghosts, a joint album with Kanye West which was released last year. Entergalatic will be his first solo album since his 2016 project Passion, Pain, & Demon Slayin.
Cudi shared a message to his fans via Twitter expressing his excitement and early details of what is to come saying, “Entergalactic will be something you’ve never experienced. I promise it’ll be a fun ride. Lot of good friends involved. Great songs too! The cast is coming together. I know a year from now seems like forever but itll be here before u know it!”
