H.E.R. released the visuals for “Hard Place” as she endures an emotional rollercoaster. The video is one of the latest videos from her 2018 album I Used to Know Her: Part 2. The video captures the singer’s rise to fame and shows her career outgrowing her love interest. Towards the beginning of the video the couple is in the pursuit of their own musical career. Throughout the video is it shown that H.E.R is steadily becoming successful as her love interest remains stagnant leading H.E.R’s character to a tough decisions deciding between her budding career or protecting her love interest ego.
