Rotimi is not only back with a new deal, but the Power star just dropped off his newly released track “Love Riddim”.

Returning to the music scene after his 2017 “Want More”, the new Empire signee’s Afrobeat-tinged track is coming just in time to vibe up the sundress season. In a recent interview with VIBE magazine, Rotini’s explains his shift in music being inspired by U.K. singer Craig David.

“I wanted to create a sound that was different. Something that was of me yet reminiscent of my favorite artists like Craig David,” he said. “It’s kind of bridging the gap between R&B and Afro[beat], no one is actually African-American to do it. It’s feel-good music that you can’t help but dance and wine to.”

On the “Love Riddim” track, Rotimi sings:

Wish I could start it over, baby i need you over
Wish I could taste, kiss you down by your waist
He treat you wrong, wish I could show you love
Wish I could make you know it, baby you need to know it
Where do you go? Every time I touch you there?

Listen to the full track below and look for Rotimi’s new EP, ‘Walk With Me’ to drop May 24th.
