The new DJ Khaled album is JUST around the corner.

Back in 2016, DJ Khaled said on his track “For Free” feat Drake, “The summer is our’s,” and that song was a hit! Now it looks like he’s manifesting the same thing for his upcoming project Father Of Ashad.

The DJ and producer previously announced the album’s title and release month, but fans didn’t have an exact date. Until now. Khaled took to his Instagram to announced the project will be coming out on May 17th. He said in his caption, “MAKING FATHER OF ASAHD ALBUM, I MADE SURE I WENT TO MY ROOTS THAT MADE ME THE MAN I AM NOW ! CLIMB THE HOLY MOUNTAIN πŸ” WIT ME FATHER OF ASAHD MAY 17 ! ITS ALL IN GOD AND ASAHD HANDS 🀲🏽 @wethebestmusic @rocnation @epicrecords ITS COMING ITS CLOSE ITS NEAR ! πŸ€²πŸ½πŸ¦πŸ”‘πŸŒΊ”

So far we now have the title and exact date, but no tracklist, features or singles have be released yet. It seems like his plan is to slowly do it one by one to build hype, and we can’t say we blame him. A close personal friend of Khaled, Diddy, also took to his Instagram to tell his followers what he thought of the album. The hip-hop legend called the project “Necessary for the summer,” “a classic,” and said it was “five stars.” As if those compliments weren’t enough he explained, “I’m not putting hype in it because he’s my brother,” then went on to say it is “a great body of work,” and “probably the dopest album I’ve heard in a long time.” Well there you have it! And now the wait begins…
