Tekashi 6ix9ine has been spending “money money” while behind bars just to protect his family. He has allegedly been cooperating with the feds in hopes of a lighter sentence, so because of that, he’s worried for his family’s safety.

Since his arrest in November 2018, he has been spending thousands on personal security for his mother. According to his attorney, Tekashi has the funds to protect his family, so the government expects him to pay for it out of his pocket.

In an episode of TMZ Live, his baby mama, Sara Molina, said her child’s safety is her number one priority, even if that means keeping her away from his father. She has reportedly been paying for her own armed security.

6ix9ine is currently facing at least 47 years in prison if he’s convicted on all his charges. He’s expected to be sentenced in January 2020.
