Ski Mask The Slump God sat down with the L.A. Leakers at Rolling Loud to talk past, present and future.
On his current project he lists some of the people he worked with, including Lil Yachty and Juice Wrld. He says he was also planning on featuring Young Thug, who’s verse didn’t get in on time, as well as the late XXXTentacion. He says both of those collabs are now momentarily shelved but will be out in the future.
When asked what fans can expect from him live he has a long list, “a live performance is, alright so, if you ever come to my show, basically, I like to consider whoever is out there for me, family. So we’re all in it together. So we all came here to make sure nobody passes out, if you see somebody pass out, let me know, I’m gonna help you out. We’re here to turn up, we’re here to get the singing songs, we’re here to feel emotions, we’re here to feel like you’re not alone, in anything.”
Then the conversations switches gears to the hot debate of the minute. On who he thinks the king of R&B is, “I’m the real muthafucking king of R&B, nah I’m just playing” he says with a laugh. Then he continues, “Thats really hard to say because theres different generations…I couldn’t give you one, because I haven’t done my research too much.”
For 2019 he says he’s “been doing a lot of sitting down and planning on whats my next move to be different. I like being different. That’s my plan on just being different. What can I do next thats different?” On his next album he says he currently doesn’t know what direction he wants to go in. There’s a possibility his next project could be the collab with Juice Wrld. The project is titled “Evil Twins” and he says regardless fans can expect it at some point in 2019.
