Stopping by Power 106 for our exclusive Now You Know series, Klondike Blonde reveals how she got her name:

“I was uploading my first song EVER to SoundCloud. At the time, I was modeling, so I went by Jasmine Aleaa. But my friend was in the room and he was like like, ‘You can’t post your name after Jasmine Aleaa, you need a cooler name.’ I was like, ‘Like what?’ I just dyed my hair blonde, and he just came out of his ass like, ‘You’re name should be Klondike Blonde.’ At first I was like, ‘I don’t like it.’ But when it came to me actually posting my song, I didn’t have anything else to put.”

In addition, she reveals how she got signed to LA Reid’s new label HitCo through her friend Ayo (from Ayo & Teo), creating her first record ever “Drip,” and getting a Tupac-inspired stomach tattoo of her alter ego, Griselda Blanco. Watch above!
