Over the weekend, Dwyane Wade made an emotional and powerful early statement of retirement, announcing his “one last dance” for his 16th NBA season.

Returning to the Miami Heat this season for his final round in the physically demanding sport, Wade’s revealing 10 minute clip delivers a heart-felt message to his fans explaining why this will be his last go ‘round. Looking back at his entire career and how the guard came into the league, Wade says:

This is it. I’ve given this game everything that I have, and I’m happy about that, and I’m going to give it for one last season, everything else I have left.

The three-time Miami champ is expected to sign a one year $2.4 million deal with The Heat.
