The audio from the 911 call made for Demi Lovato’s apparent overdose has been released. The 4.5 minute audio recording unveils some details of Demi’s accident.
Demi’s close friend called 911 and requested no sirens be used while the paramedics were on their way to pick up Demi to transport her to a hospital. The dispatcher expressed that it is not possible to do that when there is a medical emergency because sirens allow medical help to get there as fast as possible. However, what the call did not reveal is exactly what the medical emergency was.
Lovatics, the name Demi has given her devoted and loving fans, have taken it upon themselves to start a trending hashtag #HowDemiHasHelpedMe to express their support to help Demi recover.
The 25 year old has suffered with drugs, alcohol, an eating disorder, and depression all her life. She has an official documentary called “Simply Complicated,” and a song called “Sober,” where she is not shy to share these struggles she had in her life. Demi has been to rehab and has relapsed before, as it seems she has done once again.
Several celebrities have commented on Demi’s hospitalization.
Meghan Trainor said, “She actually helped me get through my stuff because I was watching her and was like, ‘I know I’m not alone. But I can’t imagine what level she’s going through and what her family is going through right now. And I just didn’t know it was that bad. And I didn’t know she was struggling so much.”
Like all of you I am reeling at the news about Demi. All of us love her and need to pray for her to get well. She is a fighter. #prayfordemi
