Birdman Confirms Lil Wayne’s ‘Tha Carter V’ Will Drop This Year

Although Lil Wayne has dropped off the long-awaited ‘Dedication 6’ mixtape late last year, there’s still a lingering a $51 million lawsuit against Cash Money records, which is potentially holding up the release of Wayne’s ‘Tha Carter V.’

Speaking exclusively with RapUp, Cash Money CEO Birdamn, revealed that Weezy fans can expect the highly-anticipated album to see light sometime this year.

Promising that a C5 is slated for a 2018 release, Birdman went on to confirm that he has ‘heard a few’ of the songs that could be featured on the project. B went on to talk about Tunechi’s legacy and longevity in the rap game, even comparing his status to that of the late 2 Pac.
