Mariah Carey is not only a pop icon but the legendary singer is a staple in the hip-hop culture.
From collaborating with some of the hottest rappers, both past and present, Mariah Carey’s upcoming Hip Hop Honors salute is definitely well overdue.
The music icon will be honored for VH1’s ‘Hip Hop Honors: The 90s Game Changers which will celebrate her records that include ‘Fantasy (Remix)’ featuring the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard, ‘Honey (Bad Boy Remix)’ with the Lox and Ma$e, and of course the Jay-Z assisted ‘Heartbreaker.’
While details haven’t surfaced about exactly who is honoring the Diva, the ceremony will feature a performance from Missy Elliot, will also honor comedian Martin Lawrence, and will air Sept 18th at 9pm.
