DJ Kay Slay is returning after a lengthy hiatus and he’s recruited some hip hop heavy hitters for his upcoming album.
Slay’s lastest album, The Big Brother isn’t due until September 22nd, but the Kendrick Lamar, Mac Miller, and Kevin Gates assisted track ‘Cold Summer’ just dropped and it’s been one of the most anticipated singles from the forthcoming project.
The track opens with LA native/self-proclaimed G.O.A.T, K. Dot, and the song serves as an introspective record for Lamar, Miller, and Gates.
On the track, Kendrick raps:
Tiremarks and gun smoke stories / OGs remincise and show glory / I’m hoping you make a way out / Before this MAX-11 do it for me
