The city of Brooklyn is coming through in a big way for the legacy of the late rapper Notorious ‘B.I.G.’
It has been 20 years since the death of Biggie and his home city is tributing the hip hop legend with a memorial basketball court in his name.
Known for its numerous corner courts and park areas, New York City has officially renamed the Crispus Attucks Playground in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighbordhood to the new Christopher “Biggie” Wallace courts.

New York City councilman Robert Cornegy officiated the celebratory moment and detailed that he made a promise to Biggie’s mother Voletta Wallace to honor her son’s legacy.
