In the midst of his successful 4 Your Eyez Only Tour, J.Cole and his Dreamville crew took time out of their tour schedule to visit inmates of the San Quentin State Prison.

Located in San Francisco, Cole stopped by the prison to speak to the many inmates whose voices go unheard and, for some, who might not step foot outside of the prison gates ever again.

The Dreamville crew took to Instagram so share their thoughts about Quentin visit, with Dreamville President Ibrahim Hamad stating:

One of the most moving moments since this new journey. Spent a day with some brothers whose stories go unheard behind the wall. Learned a lot, so much work to be done. This system will try not to give you a voice but we’re listening.

While on tour, J. Cole has not only spoken out about the justice system, but he’s also symbolically protested the fight against the unfair conditions by rocking an orange prison jumpsuit while on stage.
