Tidal’s got some tricks up their sleeves and we’re excited for what this means. Earlier Tuesday Tidal announced that their subscribers will now have access to podcasts.
Not only will Tidal users be able to get their hands on Jay-Z’s upcoming album 4:44, but they’ll also get exclusive access to Tidal’s newest investment that includes a playlist of podcasts with some well known names. Going by the name of “Tidal On Air” the podcasts will include shows from the likes of Angie Martinez, Minya “Miss Info” Oh, Stefi Chacon, Cipha Sounds, Elliott Wilson, Brian “B. Dot” Miller and DJ Luis Jimenez.
Angie Martinez and Miss Info will team up to host “In Real Life” which the ladies will be dishing on “music, motherhood and everything else that happens off the clock.” Stefi Chacon will be interviewing Latin pop artists on her show En La Mira while Luis Jimenez will be producing special themed episodes for events like Hispanic Heritage Month and Columbian Independence Day.
“Rap Radar” will be hosted by Elliot Willson along with his co-host B. Dot which will air weekly. Wilson is Tidal’s editorial director of hip-hop culture and content says, “Our well-informed perspectives and commanding interview skills will prove that we deserve to be recognized as one of Hip Hop’s premier outlets.” The weekly podcast already has All Eyez on Me director Benny Boom set to be featured on the first episode of Rap Radar.
Cipha Sounds will host “The Guest Spot” which will feature the host covering various debates on various topics.
In Real Life, En La Mira and Rap Radar already have their first episodes available now on Tidal, check them out now!
