Dr. Dre continues to put on for his city. Repping all things Los Angeles, the rapper/entrepreneur has pledged to donate 10 million dollars to the new Compton High school. These efforts will go toward building their new performing arts complex.

Speaking to the LA Times, Dr. Dre states, “My goal is to provide kids with the kind of tools and learning they deserve. The performing arts center will be a place for young people to be creative in a way that will help further their education and positively define their future.”

Beyond the high school, this performing arts center will be a resource for the city of Compton as a whole.
