The mysterious “4:44” numbers have been circulating all over the internet, and even in person in New York City. While some Googled and found nothing but an old 2012 movie about the end of the world (gulp), we now have a lead.

Rumors have been going around that this is the work of TIDAL, Hov’s own music streaming platform. This actually makes sense. “4” is the beloved number between Jay Z and his queen, Beyonce. Both their birthdays are September 4 and December 4, accordingly. April 4 (4/4) also serves as the date they were married.
If that’s not enough, the couple has the Roman numerals “IV” tattooed on their ring fingers.
