On any given day – 428,000 children are in the foster care in the United States. May is National Foster Care Awareness Month so producer Swizz Beats and comedian Monroe Martin are teaming up with the foster care organization, Children’s Rights for a campaign called Foster My Education. Their mission is to defend America’s abused and neglected kids.

The PSA begins with its first frame saying, “Less than 60% of teens in foster care graduate from high school by age 19 compared with 90% of general population.” Throughout the PSA – the importance is the funding of the education for children in foster care. They show different stories by people who were in the system.

Swizz Beatz ends with saying, “Education in this country is a fundamental right for every child, but right now, we are turning our backs on our foster youth.”
