Kanye West’s The Life of Pablo is still blasting through everyone’s stereo system.  Today, those streaming plays have finally payed off.

The Life of Pablo album was first publicly played during Kanye West’s 2016 Yeezy Season 3 Fashion Show at Madison Square Garden in NYC.  Today, Def Jam announced the album finally got certified platinum and a rep from RIAA confirmed the certification.  Not only did the album get certified platinum, it’s the first streaming-only album to receive this level of status.

After the streaming-only album was released in February 2016, Billboard announced TLOP was briefly available for sale in April on Kanye West’s official site.  TLOP managed to get the No. 1 spot for the Billboard 200 when even when 70 percent of the album’s debut earnings was just streaming.  The total worldwide streams for TLOP? Just a small amount of 3 billion.

Congrats on the platinum status, Yeezy!
