After Chance The Rapper took home three Grammys, he was publicly congratulated by the Governor of Illinois, Bruce Rauner, via Twitter. Chance then requested a meeting with the Governor regarding the topic of funding education. The meeting between the two had to be rescheduled due to some unforseen weather issues. Chance and the Governor met today (Friday, March 3rd), and Chance does not look too happy.
The Chicago Sun-Times reports that Chance and Rauner spoke for 30 minutes in Chicago about the $215 million set aside for the Chicago public school system that collapsed in an errant budget deal. “He asked me where I thought the $215 million was supposed to come from,” Chance said.
After the meeting, it looks like multiple outlets were awaiting CHance for a comment, and some video surfaced of Chance’s comments. See what Chance The Rapper said after his meeting with the Governor of Illinois.
