It’s the 10th year for the annual Roots Picnic that takes place in Philly and this year Pharrell will be headlining the festival along with The Roots. Other artists we can expect to see there include Cranes In The Sky songstress Solange, Lil Wayne, 21 Savage and a special appearance from Fat Joe, Mobb Deep and producer Scott Storch.
There will also be a Roots Picnic taking place in NYC that includes Wu-Tang Clan, Swizz Beatz, Lil Uzi Vert, John Mayer, D’Angelo, Jeremih and Kevin Gates. The NY festival will be a 2 day event, with Day 1 already sold out.
Previous artists that have been at the Roots Picnic include Usher, Lil Jon, John Legend, Public Enemy, Quest Love and Alicia Keys. The festival always delivers and never disappoints concertgoers.
The Philly event takes place Saturday June 3, while the New York event will be taking place later this year on October 1 & 2. Tickets for both festivals are already on sale and can be purchased through Ticketmaster.
