Frank Ocean is coming into the spotlight, but this time it’s not for his music.  Ocean’s father, Calvin Cooksey, is reportedly suing his son for a large sum of money.

Last summer, Ocean posted a message on Tumblr referencing something about his dad.  The message said, “I was 6 years old when I heard my dad call our transgender waitress a f****t as he dragged me out of a neighborhood diner saying we wouldn’t be served because she was dirty. That was the last afternoon I saw my father and the first time I heard that word, I think, although it wouldn’t shock me if it wasn’t.”

Now, Cooksey is suing Ocean for $14.5 million for defamation over the message.  His dad says the incident never occurred and he’s lost business opportunities in film and music because of the message.

This is not Cooksey’s first lawsuit.  In 2014, Cooksey sued Richard Simmons over alleged lies published on Global Grind according to TMZ.  That lawsuit went for a whopping $124 million which was a way bigger amount of money compared to his lawsuit with Ocean.
