Wale just dropped an amazing track along with a visual called “Black Is Gold.” The track features a familiar instrumental that comes from D’ Angelo’s vintage song “Lady.” The instrumenal is amazing by itself, but Wale’s rap over it makes the track shine even more. The hook says, “Black is beautiful, baby, black is bold. Black is black, true, but black is gold.”

On the track, you can hear shoutouts to various beautiful women, “Look, hey miss Lupita/Hope you know you inspired the future women for us,” Wale raps. “Don’t know your vibe really, just know that your mother Kenyan/Just know that that melanin mesmerizin’ in every picture.”

There is no confirmation on which project this track will end up on, but there are talks of the project coming out on a project called “S.H.I.N.E.” There has also been some talks of Wale working on a project with Lil Wayne. You can watch Wale’s latest video for his latest track below.
