Another artist has been added to the list of people who owe money to the IRS: Ty Dolla $ign. He reportedly owes over $180,000 in back taxes.
Ty didn’t pay the proper amount of taxes for 3 years in a row which made the IRS file a lien against him. The Campaign rapper is exactly $180,969.35 in the hole. The government needs $16,617.05 for 2011, $54,626.91 for 2013, and $109,725.39 for 2014 to fully pay off his debt. It’s pretty obvious how significant the difference is between each year since Ty’s popularity after his 2012 album drop of Beach House.
Ty is not the only artist who has been called out by the IRS. Nelly was one of the more recent celebrities who owe the IRS some dolla bills. In September, he reportedly owed the IRS more than $2 million in taxes. The government even started seizing Nelly’s property to take back some of the money that he owed.
