Jaden Smith was never afraid to make controversial statements and freely express his creativity. Despite his parents’ fame, the 18-year old has always worked to get successful on his own, and his plans seem to work.
This week, TIME Magazine named Jaden one of the world’s 30 most influential teenagers, saying “Smith might be the offspring of two established Hollywood celebrities, but he’s building a brand – and a following – by rebelling against mainstream culture.”
Recently, he appeared in a Louis Vuitton ad campaign wearing a skirt, trying to “subvert traditional gender norms.” Jaden Smith also started his own clothing line and arts collective, MSFTSrepublic, intending to encourage young people express themselves without constraints.
