Nicki Minaj Covers Marie Claire And Talks About Feminism

Nicki Minaj will cover the November edition of Marie Claire magazine, with a very appropriate tagline, “Nicki Is Here To Slay.” For the past couple of years, Nicki’s career has continuously developed to the point where the artist was entitled by the magazine, “the most bankable woman in hip-hop.”

In a short video behind the scenes, the female rapper is shown as a do-it-all queen, as she models, manages and even photographs herself. But it seems like she is a do-it-all woman in real life, too. Besides from possibly working on a new album, Nicki also mentioned shooting a TV series inspired by her life.

Nicki Minaj is a strong feminism believer and talks about the racism that is happening today in the world. She is concerned about the black women who will have to tell their children that their fathers are gone, and is upset with the idea that no one is helping them.

In the interview, the singer also talks about how much she loves working with Beyoncé, as she feels that their collaborations are full of empowerment for the women around the world.

Nicki Minaj reveals that Jay Z has been her source of inspiration and an artist that she has looked up to along her career. She believes that he is “an authentic street guy and a businessman” and that she has always felt like she could do anything that he could do. She wants every woman to know that they don’t need a man on this planet at all.
