Lil Wayne Donates Skate Park In New Orleans

Lil Wayne Donates Skate Park In New Orleans

News of Lil Wayne has been all over recently from his beef with Birdman and rumors of retirement to his recent rap battle with Kevin Hart a.k.a. Chocolate Droppa at the BET Hip-Hop Awards.  Now Weezy is making headlines again for his charitable efforts in his hometown, New Orleans.

The Louisiana rapper has teamed up with a local California skate company, OC Ramps, to unveil a brand new skate park in his city.  The skate park actually came from this year’s Lil Weezyana Fest.  After Lil Wayne took the stage along with 2 Chainz, Mystikal, and Migos, the skate park set was supposed to be shipped back to California.  However, the philanthropic rapper decided to donate the park to the kids of New Orleans.

Lil Wayne also donates to New Orleans, Louisiana through Tha Carter Fund which he set up in collaboration with the Greater New Orleans Foundation.  All proceeds from Wayne’s Lil Weezyana Fest last year were provided to that charity as well.

You can donate to the Greater New Orleans Foundation here and check out the hillarious battle between Wayne and Chocolate Droppa below.

For more hip-hop updates stay tuned in to DJ Felli Fel every afternoon from 3p-7p.
