Nas and A$AP Rocky are two BIG names in the hip-hop industry and now they are teaming up for the big screen! The New York City duo are set to star in an upcoming film inspired by the 1999 Walter Dean Myers novel, Monster.
The movie is about a young kid named Steve Harmon who is innocent but facing felony murder charges. The Birth Of A Nation actor, Kelvin Harrison Jr., plays Steve’s character as he deals with possibly spending his lifetime in jail from such a young age. Jennifer Hudson is also staring in this chilling film as well.
The director of the film, Anthony Mandler, has worked with some big name artists such as Jay Z, Rihanna, Drake, and Snoop Dogg on countless music videos. However, this film will be Mandler’s cinematic directing debut. The executive producers for the film include Nas and John Legend as well.
