French Montana has been working on releasing his most recent album Mac & Cheese 4 for months now and everyone has been waiting anxiously for this dope project to be unveiled. The album was first set to be released back on the 19th of August, then French announced that he needed to push the release date back, and now he has ultimately been forced to stop production on the album altogether.
It seemed like everything was on schedule since MC4 was already available for pre-order on iTunes for the past few weeks. However, it turns out that there have been some production issues that French has been dealing with behind the scenes.
In a recent interview French explained that he was having trouble getting clearance for a few of the tracks on the album and wasn’t happy with how everything was coming together. The “No Shopping” rapper told Complex, ” All the music going to come out, you know what I’m saying, just packaged differently. Plus, the album got leaked”.
Clearly French Montana has been dealing with a lot of stress surrounding the release of this album but there is a silver lining. The good news is he is planning to release a mixtape this month with “the best music you’ve ever heard” and he is planning to start a new label with Max B. Hopefully things will get better and French can get back on schedule with this new mixtape!
